Get Outdoors

During Spring and Summer, Hillingdon Council is encouraging everyone to get outdoors and visit one of the borough's beautiful green spaces.

Whether you want a quiet place to sit and think, somewhere for the whole family to spend the day, or enjoy an outdoor sport, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Hillingdon is the second largest and one of the greenest boroughs in London and its 1,800 acres of countryside is made up of canals, rivers, parks, open spaces and woodland. Ten of the borough's parks have been awarded a Green Flag which recognises excellence and is the national standard for parks and green spaces.

If you would like to let us know what you think about our parks and green spaces, you can take part in the GreenStat survey. Paper copies are available from libraries, country park visitor centres or by completing the survey online by going to the Green Spaces website and clicking on 'have your say'. Alternatively you can request a copy in the post by calling 01895 556 000.

A guide to Hillingdon's green spaces can be picked up at local libraries, the Civic Centre, Country Park visitor centres at Ruislip Woods, Minet Country Park and Cranford Park, and is also downloadable from www.hillingdon.gov.uk/greenspaces
